Single Lens Reflex Camera Photography

by Rick Reed

Whether you use an analog film-based camera, or a digital camera, taking photographs with a single lens reflex or SLR camera is basically opening a shutter for a brief amount of time, and letting light pass through a lens, which projects it onto a light-sensative medium, which captures the focused light as an image or picture.

This site is intended to familiarize you with basic concepts and techniques common to most SLR camera photography. You will learn about the basic parts of an SLR camera, and the settings that control the characteristics and quality of the captured images.
